MJ Services Ltd offers you a range of portable blast cleaning machines that have been tried and tested throughout the world. Our machines combine rugged efficient operation with maximum site safety.

All machines supplied by MJ Services Ltd are manufactured to ISO 9001:2000 with raised embossed Hydrostatic Test Certificates supplied with each individual machine. All vessels are manufactured only from Certificated Steel with ISO traceability in accordance with Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23EC.

Machines are available in various formats to include Manual Systems, Remote Control Systems, Water Separators, Grit Metering Valve, and Flat Sand Valves with and without optional items such are breathing air units, lids and sieves.

Standard UK machines are fitted with Remote Control Valve, Water Separators, Grit Metering Valve, 3000 PSI HP Tee, 3000 PSI HP nipple connection to pot coupling. Full systems come complete with Blast Helmet, Cape, Regulator, Breathing Air Unit, 10mts Hose, Dead Mans Handle, Control Lines, Lid, Sieve and 500 hour Tungsten Carbide Blast Nozzle sized to customer choice.

Naturally we vary specification to suit customer requirements and budget, with common additions being pressure regulators (for more control over your Blast Machine), Micro Valves and Thompson Valves.

We have four standard size Blast pots available. They are:
1080	Our smallest model. Highly portable. Used for touch up and small maintenance areas.
1440	A favourite of the stone cleaner and restoration contractors. Portable, ideal for medium sized projects.
2040	The 2040 blast machine is an ideal machine on heavy duty industrial applications where portability is still important. This machine offers twice the capacity of the 1440 machine, allowing its use on medium to larger projects. This unit is frequently used on bridge refurbishment work and general fabrication cleaning.
2452	The 2452 blast machine is the largest model in our standard range. It has an expendable abrasive capacity of 300kg. This machine offers twice the capacity of the 2040 machine, making its use ideal on larger projects. This unit is readily portable it is often used on fixed blast room installations and other jobs where capacity is preferred over mobility.

Blast Helmets

Panorama Helmet

The Panorama Helmet is very popular. It is an economically priced Blast Helmet. The helmet is CE marked, has a wide view (Panoramic) area of vision, the helmet uses cut off corner type visors or tear offs.

 

Commander Helmet

The Commander helmet is becoming accepted as a robust helmet giving exceptional clear vision. It carries the CE mark and comes with cape and belt regulator. It has quickly become a best seller.

 

Apollo 600 Blast Helmet

The Clemco Apollo Series Supplied-Air Respirators are hallmarks of quality, safety, comfort, and performance. Recognisable by their bright red-orange colour, Apollo 600 Respirators are easily visible on the job site. Their wide-span window offers the wearer a commanding view of the work surface and broad-scope peripheral vision. The 600 has new features making it comfortable to wear, easier to maintain, and more durable, promising a long service life.

 

 

 

 

Spares and Consumables

 

 

 

 

 

MJ Services Ltd offers a full range of spares and consumables for the majority of commercially available blast machines at the lowest prices.

Nozzles

Available with a choice of liners in a number of styles, lengths and bore sizes. Our extensive range includes tungsten carbide, silicon carbide, syclone and boron alloy nozzles. Water induction and side outlet nozzles are also available from stock.

Nozzle Holders/Hose Couplings

Our range of nozzle holders and hose couplings cover the full range of blast hose sizes from 1 1/8” od through to 2 1/8” od. All nozzle holders and couplings are supplied with the relevant gasket and screws. Available in nylon, brass and iron.

Blast Hose

Our blast hose is available in various sizes from ½” bore through to 1 ¼” bore and is rated at 12 bar WP.

Remote Control Valves

The remote control valve works in conjunction with the dead-man’s handle giving the operator complete control of the blast machine. The valve is capable of stopping/starting the machine up to 100 meters distance and is an essential safety feature for all blast pots.

Dead-man’s Handle

The control handle (dead-man’s handle) controls the air signal to the remote control valve on the blast machine. This allows the blasting operation to be carried out by a single operative.

Grit Valve/Flat Sand Valve/Thompson Valve

The grit metering valve comes in two sizes of 25 & 13 mm (1” & 1/2”). These valves are capable of handling all types of abrasive such as chilled iron, garnet, glass bead and aluminum oxide.

Air Filters

Free standing breathing air filters offer an excellent way of providing the operative with clean air compared to the more traditional types of filters. The standard unit is a single operative unit with no regulation, however a maximum of two operatives with regulation is offered as an extra if required. The filter will remove mists (including oil mist), water vapour and particle down to 0.5mm micron in size from a suitable supply of compressed air that is FREE from CARBON MONOXIDE in accordance with BS-4275:1997.

Communication Systems

Helmet communication systems can offer an essential link between a lone operator and a supervisor. Our low profile ear defenders are custom designed to fit below our range of helmets and the microphone is easily adjusted for comfort and clarity. Activation of the microphone can be by push to talk or voice activation. The most common communication system is a wired unit with the cables clipped to the helmet line and then connected to a powered receiver on the operator’s belt. Our wired systems offer minimum signal degradation and can serve multiple operators to a single supervisor station.

PPE

Personal protective equipment is the most important piece of equipment on any blast system. This equipment will keep you safe, secure and comfortable during any hazardous process. Everyone’s requirements differ and for this reason we have a comprehensive stock of PPE to meet every application.
